If You're Not Making Coffee Ice Cubes, You're Doing It Wrong

There are many things to love about iced coffee, but the last few watered-down sips are not one of them. If watery coffee has got you disappointed, you should know that there is a simple solution: coffee ice cubes

Coffee ice cubes are what you need to stock in your freezer from now until the end of the warm weather ― along with iced coffee popsicles, of course. They’ll guarantee you a strong cup of refreshing, never watered-down coffee that’ll keep you buzzing throughout the long summer days.

Here’s the first thing you need to know: Coffee ice cubes are just as easy to make as ice, so there’s really no reason not to have them stocked.

This is how it’s done:

  • Brew a pot of coffee ― or buy some that's already made. If you really want to get fancy, make a batch of cold brew for these ice cubes.

  • Pour the coffee into the ice cube trays. We recommend the silicone ones over the plastic kind, because they’re so much easier to pry out.

  • Freeze until, well ... frozen. It should take about 4 hours.

  • Use as needed to cool down a cup of iced coffee. Or use them to make a caffeinated milkshake.

This is going to be the best iced coffee season yet.
