Don Lemon didn’t mince words in his reaction to White House spokesman Sean Spicer’s news conference Thursday.
Spicer defended President Donald Trump’s unproven claim that former President Barack Obama wiretapped Trump Tower during the election. Spicer said the president didn’t really mean wiretapping because he put the word “wiretapping” in quotes.
After playing the clip, the CNN host quoted an Adam Sandler film in which a character calls him out for saying something “insanely idiotic.”
“Did anyone see ‘Billy Madison’? The game show scene?” Lemon asked viewers. “‘Everyone in this room is dumber for having listened to that.’ I hope that you’re not dumber and I hope we are providing you some information.”
